she is heaving from her sweating breast now
as though she has climaxed and she is exhausted
after all we've done is deplete her
and she will act out in her own defense
to remind us were not superior
and soon all we've come to know
it will reach its peak and cease to flow
and we won't know where to go-oh
oh we won't know where to go
and this will be the start of the long emergency
we will be living in the long emergency
and it won't be long till our cities and our buildings decay
and it won't be long now till all the crops wither away
and there will be no more machines in the sky
and there will be no more cars driving by
and we will have to learn how to survive
for this is mother natures time to purify
and this will be the long emergency
